Malisa and Me Beach Food – Phuket

Mobile Café in Phuket

Spending time on the beautiful Phuket beaches is a wonderful way to relax and unwind. With all the available beach activities though, it is easy to work up a hunger. Most of the popular beaches on the island will have plenty of Thai vendors selling food items but sometimes people can get a hankering for western style food. The Malisa and Me mobile café is an attempt to meet this demand. Not only do they sell delicious toasted sandwiches but also high quality iced coffees.

The van is inspired by similar enterprises that can be found in America. They claim to only use the best of ingredients but still offer their menu at a reasonable price.

Malisa and Me Menu

Malisa and Me specialize in iced coffees, and grilled sandwiches. Their Facebook page provides a list of items currently available. Their range of iced coffees includes:

  • Americano
  • Cappuccino
  • Latte (vanilla, coconut and pumpkin, cinnamon, caramel, and plain)
  • Mocha
  • Caramel Macchiato

The grilled sandwiches available at Malisa and Me include:

  • Ham, cheese, and honey
  • Grilled cheese
  • BBQ pulled pork and coleslaw
  • Tuna and bacon
  • Mexican
  • Pizza
  • Chicken quesadillas
  • Veggie quesadillas

The mobile café also carries on board a selection of ice creams. They also offer peanut and jelly sandwiches for those people with a sweet tooth.

Location of Malisa and Me Beach Food

One of the nicest things about Malisa and Me beach food is that they can theoretically visit any part of the island. It is possible to book the mobile café for private events, and it is even possible to send them an email and request that they visit an area. The only proviso is that the location needs to have an electric plug outlet and room enough for their van and fold out table – there and a half square meters. From Thursday to Sunday they will usually be found on Nai Hard Beach. They also visit the area near Phuket Gazette/ Phuket Live radio on Mondays and Wednesdays in Phuket Town. They currently do not work on Tuesdays. The Malisa and Me Facebook page includes exact information about the daily schedule for the van – they regularly post to their newsfeed about their current movements.

Enjoy Malisa and Me in Phuket

Malisa and Me do provide a nice service that will appeal to many visitors and long-term residents of Phuket. It will be interesting to see what happens to this business in the future. It would be nice if they provided more extensive coverage to the other beach areas in Phuket. If their venture proves to be successful then perhaps they will be able to invest in more vans. Of course there is also the likelihood that success will mean other entrepreneurs will copy their business plan.
