Tiger Muay Thai is currently one of the most popular gyms on the island. As well as teaching Muay Thai it also allows students to train for MMA fights. The camp has only been in business for just over 5 years, but many top fighters have spent time there.

Tiger Muay Thai offers a wide range of accommodation options to suit every budget. The cheapest dorm rooms are 2,500 THB per month while the most expensive resort accommodation is 24,000 THB per month.
Tiger Muay Thai – Training Costs
The cost of training starts at 300 THB for half a day and 500 THB for a full day. There are discounts for those who are prepared to pay weekly, monthly, quarterly, or six monthly. The cheapest deal is 52,000 THB for six months unlimited training. Private lessons can be arranged for 600 THB per session.

Singpatong Muay Thai – Overview
In the past Singpatong only tended to attract serious Muay Thai fighters, but in recent years there has been an increase in foreigners who just want to train. A lot of visitors prefer this camp because it is less foreigner-orientated.
Singpatong Muay Thai – Training
Training at Singpatong begins at 07:00 in the morning with a 10km run through the nearby hills. It is then back to the gym for pad work with a trainer, sparring, clinching, and work on the bags until 10am. This same routine is then repeated in the afternoon between 16:00 – 20:00.

The gym only has a limited amount of accommodation available. There are plenty of options nearby and the gym can assist with finding appropriate accommodation.

The gym charges 400 THB for one day, 2,500 THB for one week, and 8000 THB for one month.

Phrom Thep Muay Thai Camp – Overview
Phrom Thep offers programs aimed at anybody who is interested in improving their general fitness level. There is no requirement to train to fight, but this will be possible for those who wish it. There are a number of different programs available .
Phrom Thep Muay Thai Camp – Training
The training day at Phrom Thep begins at 06:00 with a run followed by gym training until 09:00. There is then the option of more private training or yoga. The afternoon session begins at 15:30 and finishes at 18:30. There is then the option of a nighttime yoga session.

The gym offers shared and deluxe accommodation. Shared is 300 THB per day or 5,000 THB per month. Deluxe bungalows are 1,000 THB per day or 17,000 THB per month.

Chang Muay Thai Gym – Overview
Chang Muay Thai has a Swiss owner and opened for business in 2009. All the trainers come from the North of Thailand. The camp is situated right beside Kata beach.
Chang Muay Thai Gym – Training
The gym offers two sessions a day. The morning starts at 08:00 and ends at 11:00. The afternoon session goes from 16:00 to 19:00. Training consists of cardiovascular exercise such as distance running and skipping. There is also plenty of pad work, sparring, and clinching.

The gym has four rooms on-site to rent. These cost 300 THB per night. There is also plentiful accommodation in the local area to suit every budget.

This is one of the less known gyms on the island, but it does attract a few foreigners. It is home to two trainers who were once Muay Thai champs.
